He married Frankie Sue Freeze (#560) November 18, 1939 in Florence, AL., daughter of Albert Freeze and Lilly Dickerson. She was born August 10, 1920 in AL., Florence and died October 21, 1998 in VA., Fredericksburg.Frankie Sue Freeze:

Mrs. Frankie Sue Freeze Smith, 78, of Fredericksburg, Virginia passed away Wednesday, October 21, 1998 at her residence.
She was a native of Greenhill, AL, a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints, Fredericksburg Ward. Her parents were Albert L. Freeze and Lillie Pearl Dickerson Freeze.
The funeral service was held Tuesday, October 27 at Loretto Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the Fairview Methodist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Frankie Bee Smith, Spotsylvania, VA; four sons, Roger M. Smith and Bobby W. Smith, both of Stafford, VA; Jerry W. Smith, Spotsylvania, VA; Mack E. Smith.
