2021 PROJECT:

Throughout this year, I will be posting monthly 'clips' from the Littrell Family.net Events Calendar similar to this one for the last week of the year (Busiest Week Of The Year For Littrell Family?)... showing events for that month.

THE PURPOSE IS THREE-FOLD:

1] To ensure that we have correct and complete information on all descendants of John & Kizzie.

2] To ensure the current "Events Calendar" on the LFN website is correct and complete.

3] To produce an accurate family print calendar for 2022.

We will make the print calendar using online services such as Vista Prints or Lulu Press and make them available for online purchase.

The print calendar will include family pictures if available.

The website calendar will include holidays, all descendants, and John and Kizzy's ancestors that are known and provided.

The print calendar will include holidays and all ancestors. It will also include all known descendants of John and Kizzie down to the "First Cousins."

Events that will be targeted will be births (including adoptions), marriages, and deaths.

What the project needs from you:

Watch the monthly 'clips' here on this group page. Let me know if any information is inaccurate, incomplete, or missing.

Inform me of corrections and additions that need to be made for that month via comments on the clips or email

Knew information collected during this project will also be used in the upcoming family history book, so please include pictures, stories, and documents that may be suitable for the calendar project and the book.

(To include all descendants in the print calendar would make traditional one-month pages impractical... the print would have to be so small it would be unreadable.))

September 2nd, 1988: Krista Catherine White

September 8th, 1910: Jesse Littrell was born.
September 15th, 1934: Onene Littrell married Bert Curtis.
September 22nd, 1938: Bertha Ann Littrell married Lindsey Prior ‘Bordie’ Thurman.
September 23rd, 1933: J. Fred Johnston is born.
September 24th, 1927: O. Imogene ‘Gene’ Hampton born.
September 24th, 1988: Lindsey Prior ‘Bordie’ Thurman died.
September 25th, 1940: Rex Littrell born.
September 29th, 1941: Bertha May Johnston died.
We will try to provide specific information on the Events Calendar, and this webpage (and on Facebook) one or two days before the anniversary date.

Busiest Week Of The Year For Littrell Family?

The week of December 21 thru 28 may be one of the busiest weeks of the year for the family of John & Kizzie Littrell and their descendants:
4 siblings were born: Les(1928), Ruben(1930), OJ(1926), Red(1920).
1 sibling died: JD(1995),
1 sibling married: JD(1947)
Other births: Kelly Littrell-McKinney(1972), Jaclinn D. Littrell(1997), Kathleen Littrell-Night(1967), Christopher Burrows(1990), & Gertrude Boch-Littrell(1933).
The following 3 days also saw: another sibling die – Onene Littrell-Curtis(2010), a First Cousin married – Mary Catherine-Cook(1964), another First Cousin born – Sheila Littrell-Jimerson(1949), and two more births - Christopher Johnson(1978), & Janet Lanning-Hartsfield(1959)
And on the 4th day (January 2): John's father, Timmons Seburn Littrell(1929), would die.

Nobel James⁸ Littrell (born July 16, 1915 in TN., Lawrence Co., Loretto, and died August 08, 1972 in OH., Lorain.

August 10: 1937, Noble James Littrell married Corene Belew.

Nobel James Littrell  He married (1) Corene Belew (#271) August 10, 1937, daughter of William Belew and Ivy Shelton. She was born Abt. 1917, and died March 15, 1943. 

August 10: 1886, Donie Ezell born

The daughter of John Ezell and Mary Belew. She was born August 10, 1886 in TN., Loretto

August 17, 2013 Littrell Family Reunion: Descendants of Jesse Daniel & Viola (Johns Simbeck) Littrell ---this is the last date I have for this reunion, is there one planned this year????

Margaret Ann Sandy (wife of Presley Littrell) died August 1984 in AL., Lexington.

August 18: 1951, James Orbie Smith m. Nellie Gray

James Smith (son of Benjamin and Suzie Littrell Smith) married Nellie May Gray (#1427) August 18, 1951.

August 22: 1918, James Orbie Smith born

James Smith (son of Benjamin and Suzie Littrell Smith) was born August 22, 1918 in TN., Lawrence Co.,

August 29: 1942, Marie Littrell m. Thomas Davis

Marie Littrell  (Daughter of Pressly & Margaret Sandy Littrell) married Thomas David Davis August 29, 1942, son of Willie Davis and Janie Pettus. He was born January 17, 1923 in Lawrence Co., TN, and died November 26, 1981

General guidelines for inclusion on the LittrellFamily.net Events Calendar:

I will try to post all relevant dates following the guidelines below, but I cannot do this without help. For the ‘First Cousins’ and their descendents I need input from everyone. The numbers are just too many, and for each generation down, too incomplete.

If your ancestor or family member has a date coming up let us know so we can include it on the calendar:

• Any family based events for the children and their spouses of Timmons Literal.
• Any family based events for the direct ancestors of the spouses of Timmons Literal’s children: James & Donie, John & Kizzie, Suzie and Benjamin, Mozela and Alonzo, Press and Margaret.
• Any family based events for direct and indirect ancestors of Timmons Literal and Mary Catherine Urban (Timmons wife).
• Any family based events for direct descendants of Timmons Literal’s children **.
• Family based events are: birth, birthdays, death, obits, anniversary, reunions, family get togethers, funerals, etc.

**beginning with Timmons grandchildren Calendar Events will be created for direct descendants only, event information for spouses will be listed as part of the descendants event. i.e.., as a great grandchild of Timmons, an event could be created for my birth, and my daughters birth as direct descendents, but any event for my wife would have to be appended to my events.

We have created a ‘Memorials’ page (right sidebar, Miscellaneous Section, Memorials) where obits, memorials etc., will appear. Memorials will be reposted (as will birth and Marriages) every anniversary date. If you would like to have a poem, memorial, or though added, please let me know.
