Presley Eli Littrell was a son of Timmons Seburn Literal and Mary Catherine Urban.

Presley Eli⁷ Littrell, Sr. (Timmons Seburn⁶ Literal, Eli Franklin⁵, Rodhom⁴, Robert³ Luttrell, Richard² Lutterell, James¹ Lotterell) was born September 19, 1883 in TN., Lawrence Co., and died January 05, 1929 in TN., Lawrence Co., Loretto. He married Margaret Ann Sandy (#37) June 13, 1915 in Lawrence Co., TN., daughter of Alexander Sandy and Mary Smith. She was born April 14, 1896 in Lawrence County, Tennessee and died August 1984 in Lexington, Alabama.^{1 2 3}

by the time Pres and Margaret were married her father was deceased so her Uncle R. B. Ayers served as Bondsman.

“.. in those Days they called him Press.. when I (Earline) was 10 years old (1929) he went to Loretto to get some medicine for the family who all had the Flu. He went in a buggy and had almost made it home when he had one of his seizure spells and fell out of the buggy into a mud-hole and could not breathe. By the time we got to him, he was dead.”

…within a week, Roy Smith had died followed by Timmons the next week.¹ By 1930, Margaret and her remaining family are living next door to her brother Troy Sandy.

1 As told by Earline Littrell-Jones. According to JD Littrell the buggy that “Pres” was riding in arrived at the homestead without him, his wife Margaret immediately jumped into the wagon and whipped the horses back down the rode, she found him face down in inches of water.

Tammy Renee Mashburn Tammy Renee Mashburn, 19, passed away on Monday, February 23 (1978), at ECM Hospital after an automobile accident. She was an employee of Lexington Quick Mart and a member of Mary's Chapel Nazarene Church. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 25 at 2 p.m. at Loretto Memorial Chapel, with T. A. Shirley, Bob Wilson and Boyd Hill officiating. Burial followed in Richardson Chapel Cemetery. Loretto Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. She is survived by her mother Bertie Wilson Mashburn of Lexington; three brothers, Kerry Mashburn of Killen, AL, Andy Mashburn of Lexington, and Rocky Mashburn of Fairburn GA, and her grandparents Willy and Pauline Wilson of Loretto.

Deborah Ann Jones Humphres, 50 Deborah Ann Jones Humphres, 50, of Franklin, TN; died on Friday, December 1, 2000 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her mother Earlene Littrell Jones. A native of Lauderdale County, AL; she was a homemaker, wife and mother. She was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, an officer of Friends of Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital and member of the National Genealogy Society. Funeral Services were held on Monday, December 4, 2000 at 1 pm at Mary’s Chapel Church of the Nazarene with Jim Huges, James D. Smith and Elton Jones officiating. Burial was in Richardson Chapel. Visitation was on Sunday, December 3, 2000 from 6 to 8 p, at Loretto Memorial Chapel. Survivors are: husband, Jim R. Humphres of Franklin; son, Jamie Humphres of Franklin; daughter, Brandy Humphres Rappe and husband Matt of Memphis, TN; father, Grady Jones of Lexington, AL; two sisters, Imogene Springer and husband Robert of Lexington and Madge Burgess of Lexington; several nieces and nephews.
